Black Sesame Date Balls
Recipe by: Muriel Webster, Held Postpartum
These are a favorite to treat to keep at your bedside for late night hunger pains, and in between meals. The coconut, walnuts and black sesame are supportive in milk production, and the dates offer your body a good dose of fiber.
2 cups walnuts
2 cups pitted dates
1 cup shredded coconut
1 tablespoon ground black sesame seeds
1 teaspoon vanilla
Pinch of sea salt
Combine all ingredients in food processor, and blend for several minutes until you have achieved a sticky cohesive crumble. Turn out into a bowl, and gather up about a tablespoon at a time and roll into a ball between your hands. Store in fridge for up to 2 months!
