Warm Cacao with Chia & Honey

This is a nourishing warm treat in a mug, for anytime of day!  The fiber in the chia seeds will aid in keeping your bowels regular, and add a fun texture when sipping.


INGREDIENTS

3 cups milk of choice (I like raw cow’s milk)

3 Tablespoons raw cacao powder

3 Tablespoons honey

½ teaspoon vanilla

A pinch of sea salt

2 Tablespoons chia seeds

METHOD

In a medium sized saucepan over medium/low heat, gently warm your milk, cacao, honey and sea salt.  When milk comes up to a simmer, remove from heat and add vanilla.  Then vigorously whisk milk for a few moments to create a small amount of foam.  Pour into two mugs, and top each with a tablespoon of chia seeds.  Allow seeds to hydrate for a few minutes before sipping!
