"Puffing Quinoa" is super easy and a way to consume this rich plant.
1/2 cup of Quinoa
1 Tablespoon of Coconut Oil
METHOD:
Preheat oven to 200 degrees
Rinse uncooked quinoa well - three good rounds moving the quinoa around - making sure there isn't any 'foaming' water. Strain and lay out on a baking sheet.
Place in low over for 10 - 20 minutes allowing the moisture to fully evaporate. Check every 5 minutes or so and break up any clumps that remain.
Melt coconut oil in a cast iron pan with lid
Add the dried quinoa and keep moving the grains around the pan with lid on.
Once the popping starts to slow, you can stop.
Make a batch, eat straight or add to other recipes.
